Safety Guidelines
As a student or recent graduate seeking an internship, you are likely looking for an experience that is both enriching and enjoyable, but above all, safe. A safe work environment is one where there is no place for inappropriate behaviour such as intimidation, sexual harassment, bullying, aggression, violence, or discrimination.

Transgressive behaviour refers to actions that cause harm on a physical, mental, or emotional level. It often involves an abuse of power and can be intentional or unintentional, such as an inappropriate joke or offhand comment.
As an intern or entry-level professional, you may find yourself in a vulnerable position, especially in matters related to diversity and inclusion.
Organizations that recruit through this platform are required to commit to creating and maintaining a safe work environment. They must actively work to prevent inappropriate behaviour and promptly address any incidents that are reported by interns or starters. However, if you do feel unsafe, it is crucial to take action.
Reporting Unsafe Situations
You can report any concerns (anonymously if preferred) to Stage Cultuur Inclusief. This allows us to consider your experience when matching you with an organization. You are also welcome to contact us via email or phone for advice. Please note that while we cannot assist with the specifics of your complaint, we can refer you to the appropriate authorities for specialized support (see below).
It is also advisable to consult a confidential counsellor at your educational institution or within the organization where you are employed. For recent graduates, the independent confidential counsellor within the cultural organization is the appropriate contact for raising concerns.
